The Irene Rodeo in South Dakota was a first class rodeo complete with clowns, wagon rides and cowboys and cowgirls, of course. A heavy down pour didn’t dampen the spirits of anyone who attended. I was able to move around the arena and get shots from multiple angles. All imgaes were shot with my Canon 20D and post production was done in Photoshop CS3. Highmore, South Dakota had it’s Old Settler’s Days last weekend and that meant rodeo time. I was able to take these shots under the June sun with my Canon 20D and assortment of lens. The Foothills Rodeo in Wessington Springs, South Dakota was one of the best photographic opportunities I have had to date. I was able to get up close to the action, and there was plenty of action. These cowboys and cowgirls don’t mess around!. All photos were taken with my Canon 20D and usual assortment of lens. All post production was done using non destructive methods in Photoshop CS3. It’s a great time of the year when the carnival is in town. I took these photos on a night in September of 2009 at the Winnebago County Fair in Pecatonica, Illinois. I used my trusty Canon 20d and did all post production in Photoshop CS3. The entire gallery is here: Carnival



The Byron Dragway in Byron, Illinois has long been a staple in the area. Every Sunday afternoon during racing season you can here the welcome distant roar of the high octane powered vehicles racing down the track throughout the Rock River Valley. I was able to take these pictures on an October afternoon just before the track closed for the season. Again, I used my 20D and all post work was done Photoshop CS3. San Luis Valley in southern Colorado has to be one the most beautiful places I have ever been to. It offers everything for a budding photographer. I took these during the Christmas holiday in 2006.
