It’s a great time of the year when the carnival is in town. I took these photos on a night in September of 2009 at the Winnebago County Fair in Pecatonica, Illinois. I used my trusty Canon 20d and did all post production in Photoshop CS3. The entire gallery is here: Carnival

The Byron Dragway in Byron, Illinois has long been a staple in the area. Every Sunday afternoon during racing season you can here the welcome distant roar of the high octane powered vehicles racing down the track throughout the Rock River Valley. I was able to take these pictures on an October afternoon just before the track closed for the season. Again, I used my 20D and all post work was done Photoshop CS3.
